Arc protection visor for preparatory work

A flip-up face shield that protects against particles and mechanical injury. It is used during welding prep work.

Physical-chemical mechanism of action

The arc welding face shield is made of a strong material that can absorb mechanical energy and catch particles. It protects the eyes from flying dust, metal particles, or other small impacts.

Metallurgical relevance & welding risks

Without adequate face protection, particles can injure the eyes and impair vision. This can lead to inability to work or make welding impossible. The shield also protects against mechanical injuries from finer tools or machine parts.

Workshop practice & action points

Use the arc welding face shield for all work that can generate particles. Make sure it is securely and correctly positioned to ensure full protection. If the shield is damaged or worn, replace it immediately.
