Solution Annealing Effect
The complete dissolution of secondary precipitates and solid solution formation at high temperatures to produce a supersaturated homogeneous state.
When welding, the alloying elements need to dissolve properly and distribute evenly in the weld pool. If the pool cools too fast, you get hard, brittle spots that can crack. You have to guide the weld pool calmly and controlled so everything mixes well and the weld becomes clean and tough. Make sure heat goes in evenly and you don't move too fast.
