Localized Fresh Air Blow Pipe
A device for supplying clean shielding gas or fresh air directly at the welding spot. It locally reduces the concentration of contaminants and improves visibility.
Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action
The localized fresh air blower directs clean air or purge gas directly to the welder's workplace. This reduces the concentration of pollutants such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide where they are most harmful.
Metallurgical Relevance & Risks in Welding
A high concentration of pollutants can damage the weld and impair quality. The localized fresh air blower prevents this by controlling the airflow and reducing ambient exposure. Without such devices, the weld can be damaged, leading to cracks or distortion.
Workshop Practice & Instructions
Use the localized fresh air blower to supply clean gas directly to the welder's workplace. Ensure the airflow is set to cover the entire welding zone, but not overly strong, which could cause drafts. An optimal setting is an airflow of 5-10 liters per minute.
