MAG Spray Arc

A high-energy MAG process operating at high currents, characterized by a fine droplet transfer without short circuits. It is primarily applied to thicker components in the flat position due to deep penetration.

The MAG spray arc is a process for higher current levels where the material transfer is fine and almost short-circuit-free via fine droplets. This gives a calm, clean weld with good penetration, ideal for thicker plates. If you set the current too low, the process drops into the short-circuit range and the weld becomes unstable. Too much current makes the weld too hot and the pool runs away. Make sure the material is clean and adjust the voltage to the wire feed, then it all runs stably.
