MIG Brazing

A gas metal arc joining process utilizing a filler metal with a lower liquidus point than the base material. This prevents thermal degradation of galvanized sheet metals in automotive manufacturing.

MIG brazing is a process for joining sheet metal, mostly galvanized steel. The filler metal is melted with the arc, but the base material stays solid – that's the difference from welding. You use it to avoid burning the zinc layer and to prevent distortion.
