Molybdenum (Mo)

Molybdenum increases the strength and corrosion resistance of steels, especially at high temperatures. It prevents sagging and improves dimensional stability under load.

Molybdenum is an alloying element that primarily improves the toughness and high-temperature strength of steel. It increases corrosion resistance, especially at higher temperatures, and makes the material less sensitive to tempering. When welding, you need to be careful that the molybdenum content is not too high, otherwise the structure becomes hard and cracks can occur. Pay attention to proper heat management and choose a filler material that matches the base material in terms of molybdenum content.
