Multi-Frequency Eddy Current Sensor Technology

Multifrequency eddy current sensor technology uses multiple frequencies to reduce interference signals and separate defect depth in an eddy current probe.

Physicochemical Mechanism of Action

The technique uses various frequencies to suppress interference signals. Each frequency reacts differently to the environment and can therefore be used to identify flaws.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

This technique improves the accuracy of flaw detection in the weld zone. An inaccurate measurement can lead to false diagnoses and require rework or repositioning of parts, costing time and money.

Shop Practice & Action Instructions

Use the sensor technology when inspecting weld quality. Set the frequencies to minimize interference and clearly separate flaw depths. If necessary, consult the manufacturer's instructions for specific settings.
