Physicochemical Working Principle

Neutral SAW fluxes are basically chemically neutral material. They do not react with the weld metal and therefore remain unchanged no matter how high the voltage is.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

The unchanged composition of the weld metal leads to uniform weld properties. No unwanted chemical compounds or phase transformations occur that could cause cracking or toughness problems.

Workshop Practice & Instructions

Use neutral SAW fluxes at high voltages to make sure the chemical composition of the weld metal is not affected. This is especially important in critical applications or with special materials.
