Nickel-Base Creep Resistance

Material property of high-temperature superalloys to minimize permanent plastic deformations under steady thermal and mechanical loads.

Nickel-based alloys are high-temperature resistant materials whose creep resistance is based on solid solution and precipitation hardening. When welding, you must strictly limit heat input to avoid overheating and thus loss of strength for high-temperature service. Keep interpass temperature low and inspect the weld after welding for cracks, especially with larger wall thicknesses.
