Nickel-Copper Monel Solid Solution

A complete substitutional solid solution of nickel and copper exhibiting high resistance to seawater and flowing media.

Monel is an alloy of nickel and copper that is characterized by good corrosion resistance. When welding, you must ensure that the structure is not altered by excessive heat input. The best method for this is TIG welding with argon as shielding gas. It is important that the weld seam remains clean and free of impurities so that corrosion resistance is maintained. Ensure controlled cooling to prevent stresses or cracks.
