Plasma Keyhole Welding

A thermal joining process utilizing thermally constricted plasma gas enabling deep penetration in single-pass applications without substantial joint preparation. It is characterized by high energy density and directional stability.

Plasma welding in keyhole mode punches a hole into the material with a narrow, high-energy arc that travels and welds the edges cleanly. This gets you deep, narrow seams without much joint preparation. But watch out: if the settings don't match, like gas flow or travel speed, it quickly turns into porosity or cracks. You have to tune the plasma jet and travel speed so the keyhole stays stable and closes cleanly at the back.
