Plasma Arc Welding

A welding process using a constricted nozzle to highly focus the arc plasma. This grants higher energy densities and deeper penetration compared to standard TIG welding.

Plasma arc welding is basically a very hot, focused arc. With it, you melt the material very locally and quickly. Because of the high heat, you have to be careful that the weld doesn't cool too fast and become hard or cracky. Clean material and the right gas amount are key, otherwise you get pores or a bad root. If you guide the torch steadily and evenly, you can achieve a clean, narrow weld.
