Test force conversion table

The test load conversion table is a standardized tool for converting hardness values between different scales such as Vickers, Rockwell, or Brinell. It enables comparison and standardization of hardness determinations.

Physicochemical Mechanism of Action

The load conversion table is based on empirical data that establishes the relationship between different hardness levels of various measurement methods. These methods measure a material's strength through its load-bearing capacity under specific conditions.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Correct conversion of hardness values is crucial for quality assurance in the welding trade. Wrong conversions can lead to inaccurate hardness determinations, which in turn pose risks related to mechanical strength and material lifespan.

Workshop Practice & Action Instructions

Use the load conversion table to convert hardness values between different scales. Make sure you use the correct values and methods to get accurate hardness readings. Example: A Vickers hardness of 600 HV corresponds to a Rockwell B hardness of 38 HB.
