Flux Recovery System

A powder recovery system collects unsintered welding powder during submerged arc welding and returns it to the process to save material and reduce costs.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

The powder recovery system filters the welding powder after the welding process. It separates unmelted powder from liquid and dirt, allowing it to be reintroduced cleanly into the process.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Recovery improves efficiency and reduces material waste. However, incompletely filtered powder can lead to contamination, which can affect the structure and cause cracks. Therefore, careful filtration is essential.

Workshop Practice & Action Instructions

Use the system regularly during the welding process. Ensure the filter is emptied and cleaned regularly. Unfiltered recovery can lead to quality issues, so continuous monitoring is required.
