Powder Coating

A solvent-free coating process where dry paint particles are electrostatically sprayed onto the workpiece and subsequently thermally cured. This creates a continuous, mechanically robust protective layer.

Powder coating is a dry paint that is applied electrostatically to the workpiece and then baked in an oven. When welding, you have to completely remove the coating in the weld area beforehand, otherwise it burns and you get pores and slag in the weld. If you don't remove the coating, it burns away and the corrosion protection is gone anyway. For recoating: The part must be grease-free and dry, then the paint is sprayed on evenly and baked cleanly. After baking, let the part cool slowly so the layer cures properly.
