Quality Audit

A quality audit is an independent review of welding processes for compliance. It verifies the management system and identifies potential for improvement.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

A quality audit has no direct physical or chemical processes, but verifies the implementation of processes and procedures in the workshop.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Incorrect or incomplete execution of a quality audit can lead to undetected defects, posing risks to safety and component service life. It can also cause improvement potentials to go unrecognized, affecting product quality.

Workshop Practice & Action Guidelines

A quality audit should be carried out at least once a year. It should be conducted independently of daily operations and check all relevant welding processes, materials, and equipment. The results should be documented and used as a basis for improvement measures.
