Robot-assisted mirror welding
Robotic mirror welding uses movable optical mirrors to steer laser beams and achieve extremely high processing speeds. This reduces the mechanical movement of the robot axes.
Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action
Moving optics mirrors are used to steer and focus the laser beam onto the workpiece. This enables precise control of beam position without requiring mechanical movement of the robot axes.
Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks
The high speed and precision allow welding of complex geometries with minimal material loss. However, a faulty mirror or inaccurate beam alignment can lead to weld defects or incomplete penetration.
Workshop Practice & Instructions
Use high-precision moving optics mirrors and constantly regulate the beam position. Make sure the laser beam is precisely focused on the workpiece and that speed remains under control.
