Real-Time Radioscopic Inspection

Real-time X-ray inspection is a method for continuously monitoring moving objects or processes with X-rays and image intensification. It is used in automated series inspection.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism

Real-time X-ray inspection uses continuous X-rays that pass through moving objects. The transmitted radiation is displayed on a screen and intensified to make details visible.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

This technique allows precise monitoring of welding processes, especially for checking fill amounts and structure. Incorrect settings can lead to unclear images, causing misinterpretation of the process.

Shop Practice & Action Steps

Use real-time X-ray inspection for automated series testing of welds. Make sure the radiation source and screen are properly aligned. Constantly monitor image quality and adjust settings as needed.
