Pipe rotated welding position
Pipe roll position: The pipe is rotated continuously during joining to keep the weld in the favorable flat position. This ensures the highest weld quality.
Physicochemical Mechanism of Action
Continuously rotating the pipe during joining makes sure the pipe is always in the optimal position relative to the weld. This prevents uneven stresses and improves the hardness distribution.
Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks
Without continuous rotation the pipe can get into unfavorable positions, which leads to uneven stresses and possible cracks. The joint quality can suffer.
Workshop Practice & Instructions
Make sure the pipe is rotated continuously at a speed of 2-3 rpm during joining. Monitor the rotation and correct the speed if needed to ensure an even joint.
