Remeltable welding consumable

A flux-cored wire that turns into liquid when heated and solidifies again when cooled. This allows precise control of the weld structure.

Physical-chemical mechanism of action

A remelting filler metal switches between liquid and solid within a defined temperature range. This enables continuous filling during the welding process.

Metallurgical relevance & risks in welding

Controlling the liquid phase is crucial for weld quality. If the temperature level is too high or too low, the solidification behavior can be disturbed, resulting in porosity or uneven filling.

Workshop practice & instructions

Use the remelting filler metal in a shielded environment with controlled temperature. Keep the maximum temperature below the solidification point and ensure the filling process is continuous and uniform.
