Rutile-basic combination wire
A welding consumable whose slag characteristics combine the good shaping properties of rutile with the mechanical quality values of basic systems.
Rutile-basic flux-cored wire is a compromise: the rutile content gives you a calm, well-wetting weld pool and a clean, smooth weld surface. The basic content ensures a tougher weld structure and better mechanical values, especially for higher impact toughness requirements. So you get forgiving welding behavior with decent strength, but you have to keep the material clean – it reacts more sensitively to rust, scale, and moisture than pure rutile electrodes. For welding, that means: guide calmly, don't oscillate too much, and set the parameters so that the pool flows well without running. If you've got that under control, it's a great all-rounder for steel construction and workshop work.
