Rutile-basic agglomerated flux

A combined SAW flux uniting the good bead appearance and high welding speed of rutile powders with the mechanical quality values of basic systems.

Rutile-basic powder is a mixed type that is well suited for submerged arc welding. The rutile stabilizes the arc and gives a smooth, clean weld, while the basic content ensures good toughness. You get a good compromise between welding behavior and mechanical properties, especially when you have not perfectly prepared material. Just make sure the powder is stored dry, otherwise moisture will affect the weld and you will get porosity. For high-strength fine-grained structural steels, better use a fully basic powder, it is tougher.
