Acoustic Field Monitoring System

A sound field monitoring system visualizes and monitors the sound propagation and intensity in ultrasonic probes to ensure the quality of the inspection.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

A sound field monitoring system uses sensors to capture sound waves and measure their intensity. It graphically shows where the sound energy is strongest and whether there are areas where the energy is weaker or missing.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Proper use of a sound field monitoring system prevents false inspection results. Without it, inaccurate measurements can occur, leading to errors in material testing and potentially overlooking defects. This can cause safety risks in construction or other industries.

Workshop Practice & Action Instructions

Use the sound field monitoring system to regularly check the intensity of sound waves and ensure they are within the acceptable range. Position the sensors correctly on the probe and ensure there are no interfering factors like metal pieces or air bubbles. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to achieve optimal results.
