Shielding gas control valve

A regulating valve for precise control of gas flow rate during welding. It ensures constant gas supply and improves weld quality.

Physicochemical Mechanism of Action

The shielding gas regulator controls gas flow through a valve arm that opens or closes based on pressure differences. This allows precise control of the gas volume flow rate.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

An unregulated or faulty valve can lead to uneven gas supply, resulting in porosity and reduced mechanical properties of the weld. This increases the risk of cracking and reduces the service life of components.

Workshop Practice & Instructions

Ensure the valve is correctly installed and meets the specified gas pressure and flow rate. Check the valve's function regularly and perform maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimum weld quality.
