Welding Release Agent

Anti-spatter compound is an auxiliary agent that protects welding torch nozzles from metal spatter and ensures a constant gas flow.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

Anti-spatter agent forms a liquid layer on the nozzle that keeps metal spatter away. It also reduces surface friction and improves gas flow.

Metallurgical Relevance & Risks in Welding

Without anti-spatter, spatter can stick to the nozzle and contaminate the torch, leading to inconsistent weld quality. This can result in cracks or distortion in the workpiece.

Workshop Practice & Action Instructions

Always use a suitable anti-spatter agent before starting MIG/MAG welding. Make sure the anti-spatter fully covers the nozzle and adheres well. If you have gas flow problems, check the nozzle for spatter buildup.
