Welder Protective Gaiters

Welder's gaiters are heat-resistant shoes that provide foot protection during welding. They prevent injuries from falling spatter and offer additional comfort.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

Welder's protective gaiters are made of split leather that remains stable at high temperatures. This material prevents weld spatter from directly hitting the foot and causing injuries.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Without welder's protective gaiters, there is a risk of burns and injuries from hot weld spatter. These can lead to serious wounds, especially if the instep or laces are not covered.

Workshop Practice & Instructions

Use welder's protective gaiters in every welding operation. Make sure they fit properly and cover the entire foot area. At high temperatures, add extra protective measures like spats or other protective equipment.
