Welder Protective Hood

A welder's head cover is a textile headgear that blocks UV radiation and spatter. It supplements helmets during overhead welding and increases overall work safety.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

The welder's protective head covering is made of a textile that absorbs UV radiation and splashes. The material blocks UV rays to protect the skin from damage and prevents splashes from directly hitting the head.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Without proper protection, UV rays can lead to skin cancer. Splashes can cause burns or infections of the eyes and neck area. The head covering protects against these risks and improves the working environment.

Workshop Practice & Instructions

Always wear a welder's protective head covering when welding overhead to avoid UV radiation and splashes. Make sure the material is clean and has no holes or tears that could impair protection.
