Welder protective glove with thermal insulation

Welder's gloves with heat insulation are robust leather gloves with special inner lining layers that protect against intense heat, sparks, and mechanical stress. They ensure fingertip sensitivity and prevent burns.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

The heat insulation in the inner lining layers of the glove absorbs and reflects radiation to reduce the temperature at the skin. The special materials also block sparks and protect against mechanical injuries.

Metallurgical Relevance & Risks in Welding

Without heat insulation, sparks and high temperatures can burn the skin or cause severe burns. Mechanical stress can cause cuts or injuries, making the welding process dangerous.

Workshop Practice & Instructions

Choose gloves with an insulation thickness of at least 2 mm. Check the materials for heat resistance and spark shielding properties. Always wear them when exposed to heavy fire or high temperatures. Make sure the gloves are not too tight to allow good air circulation.
