Anti-Spatter Compound

Welding auxiliary agents for spatter protection are chemical aids in spray or paste form that prevent weld spatter from sticking and reduce cleanup.

Physicochemical mechanism of action

Anti-spatter welding aids contain chemical compounds that suppress the burning of spatter. These compounds react with the fire and prevent spatter from continuing to burn or spread.

Metallurgical relevance & risks when welding

Using these aids reduces the risk of spatter, which can lead to incomplete welds. They also protect the environment and the welder from hazardous gases and flames.

Workshop practice & instructions

Use anti-spatter welding aids by applying them in spray or paste form to the areas to be welded. Make sure to apply them before starting to weld and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
