Flux Re-Drying Oven
A thermal apparatus for reducing residual moisture in hygroscopic welding fluxes prior to application in submerged arc processes. It guarantees compliance with prescribed hydrogen limits.
The system dries the welding powder by driving off moisture with heat. If the powder is wet, it can cause hydrogen in the weld metal during welding, and that causes cracks. That's why the powder must be clean and dry before use. You have to check the system regularly so it dries the powder evenly. If moisture isn't removed, check the heater and filters. Don't overload the drum, otherwise the powder won't dry properly.
