Simulation-Based Path Planning

Simulation-based path planning creates collision-free paths for robots in a virtual welding cell. This speeds up the programming of complex parts.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

The simulation is based on a 3D model of the welding cell and takes all obstacles into account, such as workpieces, machine components, and workstations. It calculates optimal paths for the robots to avoid collisions.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Proper path planning minimizes production times and improves the accuracy of welding operations. Incorrect planning can lead to congestion, collisions, and inefficient workflows.

Shop Practice & Action Guidelines

Use CAD software to create the 3D model of the welding cell. Import all relevant components and machine parts. Use simulation tools to optimize the paths. Test the simulation in a realistic environment and adjust the path plans as needed.
