Sintered powder for surfacing
A powdered additive melted via thermal input during thermal spraying or plasma powder surfacing to generate wear-resistant protective coatings. The homogeneous grain structure prevents segregation during the process.
Sinter powder is a filler material that is melted during build-up welding and forms a hard, wear-resistant layer. The composition ensures that the powder bonds well with the base material and produces a uniform, low-porosity layer. If you apply too little powder, the layer becomes too thin and wears out quickly; with too much powder, you get an unclean, uncontrolled weld. You must distribute the powder evenly over the surface and choose the right heat input so that it melts cleanly and bonds with the material. Make sure the layer thickness matches the wear condition, then the cladding will last.
