Leakage Field Magnetization Sensor Array

An array of Hall sensors that detects magnetic field disturbances at crack edges and accelerates non-destructive testing of plates.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

The stray field magnetization sensor array consists of a grid of Hall sensors that measure the magnetic field over an area. Each sensor reacts to changes in the magnetic field and outputs an electrical signal.

The sensors pick up magnetic field disturbances caused by cracks or stress zones in the materials. This information helps identify defects and improve quality assurance.

Workshop Practice & Procedures

Use the array to inspect plates after welding. Make sure the sensors are properly calibrated and the measuring surface is clean. The signals are evaluated with special software that shows the location and size of any detected defects.
