Magnetic Flux Leakage Method
Stray flux process is a welding technique where the workpiece is blown with a strong gas jet (e.g., CO2 or argon). This removes metal traces and coats the surface for finer control of the welding process.
Gas jet cleaning doesn't apply a coating, it just cleans and roughens the surface. That has nothing to do with the welding process itself. If you want the surface clean before welding, grind or brush it – a gas jet won't help and can even negatively affect the weld pool. Just keep the joint dry, free of grease and scale, then it's fine.
