Thermomechanical FE Process Simulation

Thermomechanical FE process simulation is a computer-aided modeling of the temperature field and deformation during welding to predict component distortion.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism

Simulation accounts for thermal stresses from cooling and mechanical deformation of the material. It models the influence of temperature and pressure on the metal.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Simulation helps predict distortion, cracks, and hardness variations. Incorrect settings can lead to inaccurate results, affecting weld quality.

Workshop Practice & Instructions

Use exact values for temperature and time in the simulation. Make sure the material model is correct. Regularly check results against actual measurements and adjust parameters.
