Titanium-Aluminum-Vanadium
Titanium-aluminum-vanadium is a high-performance material system with a wide stress range and low density, combining titanium, aluminum, and vanadium properties into a strong, lightweight material.
TiAlV is a titanium alloy that you can't treat like regular steel. The material is highly reactive once it gets hot. Welding only works under shielding gas, ideally in a shielding gas box or with a good trailing shield, otherwise the material picks up oxygen and nitrogen and becomes brittle. Before welding, you must degrease the sheet cleanly and grind off the oxide layer, otherwise you won't get a clean root.
