Titanium grades selection criterion
The material engineering trade-off between commercially pure titanium and alloyed variants regarding specific strength, formability, and chemical resistance.
Titanium comes in pure form and as alloyed variants. Pure titanium is softer and easier to work with, while alloyed grades like Ti-6Al-4V are much stronger but also trickier to weld. If you pick the wrong grade for the job, the part can crack under load or warp. So make sure you know what you've got and set your machine up cleanly—then it'll hold.
