Titanium-Zirconium Solid Solution Strengthening
Substitution of titanium atoms by zirconium to increase mechanical strength without negatively affecting the biocompatibility of the material.
Titanium with zirconium reinforcement is a high-strength material, but when welding you have to be careful not to overheat the alloy. Too much heat or too fast cooling makes the structure brittle and can cause cracks. Keep the weld zone clean and weld quickly with controlled heat input, then the joint stays stable and you don't lose the material's strength.
