Rutylated Flux-Cored Wire

A metallic tubular wire with a flux-forming powder core based on rutile, optimized for out-of-position welding. It ensures rapid slag solidification and supports the molten pool.

Titanium dioxide flux-cored wire, i.e. rutile flux-cored wire, is the classic for positional welds. The core releases a lot of slag during welding, which solidifies quickly and supports the molten pool – making it ideal for overhead and vertical welding. The slag can usually be knocked off easily afterwards. Make sure you weld with a calm, steady motion and don't let the slag run ahead. If the parameters are off, you'll notice it immediately in an unclean bead or spatter. For thick plate in positional welds, this is the top choice.
