Transient Thermographic Replication Technique

Combination of thermal excitation and replication-based microstructural analysis for detecting thermally damaged material areas.

If you want to check after welding whether something is wrong, you first do a visual inspection. Then, depending on the requirements, you do a crack test, for example with dye penetrant or magnetic particle. And if you want to know exactly, you take a cross-section and look at the microstructure. These thermal laser methods are not the usual means for seam inspection; you better stick with the proven methods.
