Overhead welding position

A demanding welding position where the weld is performed upwards against a horizontal overhead surface. It requires precise control of arc parameters to prevent molten metal from dripping.

Welding overhead is always a fight against gravity. The molten metal wants to run down, so you have to guide the welding process short and crisp. Keep the arc nice and tight and move quickly so the weld pool doesn't drip.
