Virtual Welding Simulation

Virtual welding simulation is software that predicts thermal deformations and stresses during the welding process. It helps optimize robot welding sequences.

Physicochemical Mechanism of Action

The simulation calculates how the metal deforms at different temperatures and stresses and which stresses build up. It takes material properties like melting point, conductivity and expansion coefficient into account.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

The simulation shows possible deformation and stresses that can lead to cracks or uneven cooling. It helps you spot and avoid mistakes before actually welding.

Workshop Practice & Instructions

Use the simulation to lay down the best welding sequences for robots. Apply the calculated temperatures and times to shape the actual weld so it comes out neither too hard nor too soft.
