Heat Treatment Furnace

Thermally insulated industrial facility with precise temperature control and atmosphere management for the controlled execution of metallurgical heating and cooling processes.

A heat treatment furnace is basically a well-insulated box where you bring the part to a specific temperature and control the cooling. This changes the steel's microstructure, the internal structure that determines hardness, strength, and toughness. In welding, this is important because the heat input alters the structure next to the weld. If you stress-relieve or normalize after welding, you get a calm, tough structure and avoid cracks. When hardening, you need to hit the right cooling rate – too fast makes it brittle, too slow makes it soft. The furnace must hold the temperature evenly, or the part will be uneven.
