Heat-Insulating Welding Protective Gaiter

A welding spats protect the lower leg and foot from dripping molten metal through heat insulation.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

The spatter guard insulates heat from the weld pool wall, preventing molten metal from dripping and protecting the worker's lower leg and foot.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Without a spatter guard, dripping molten metal can cause burns or skin damage. This not only leads to medical costs but also affects productivity and makes the work environment hazardous.

Workshop Practice & Instructions

Use a spatter guard made of heat-insulating material like Nomex or Kevlar. Make sure it fits snugly against the welding pants with no gaps that could compromise insulation. At high temperatures, check the spatter guard regularly.
