Resistance Brazing Current Pulse

Utilization of electrical contact resistance at the joint for rapid, localized heating and melting of the inserted filler metal.

The current pulse must be short and strong enough so that the solder melts cleanly without the surroundings getting too hot. If the pulse is too weak, the solder won't flow properly and the joint won't hold. Too much energy, on the other hand, burns the material or causes cracks. Just make sure the contact points are clean and dry, then you'll usually hit the right spot with the pulse.
