Differential Eddy Current Probe

An eddy current differential probe measures the electric field between two points in the weld to determine voltage and current. This helps optimize the welding process.

The eddy current differential probe is not a measuring device for voltage or current during welding. It is used for non-destructive testing to find cracks or material defects in the weld seam and the heat-affected zone. You scan the surface with the probe and observe the display on the testing device. If the signal changes suddenly, it indicates a defect. The statement about electrical parameters during the welding process is simply wrong.
