C80U

1.1525 (C80U) is a plain carbon [[glossary:kaltarbeitsstahl|tool steel]] with 0.8 % [[element:C|carbon]]. Like 1.1520 a [[glossary:wasserhaertung|water-hardening steel]], but a bit harder due to the higher carbon content. Use: cutting tools, punches, knife blades, woodworking tools — anywhere you need a sharp, hard edge and a tough core together.
