C80W1

1.1625 (C80W1) is the old DIN designation for the plain carbon [[glossary:kaltarbeitsstahl|tool steel]] with 0.8 % [[element:C|carbon]] — today C80U (1.1525). A bit harder than C70, but slightly more brittle. Use: cutting tools, punches, knife blades, woodworking tools.
