1.2003

75Cr1

1.2003 (75Cr1) is a low-alloy [[glossary:kaltarbeitsstahl|tool steel]] with 0.75 % [[element:C|carbon]] and ~0.5 % [[element:Cr|chromium]]. The chromium improves [[glossary:haertbarkeit|hardenability]] slightly compared to plain carbon steels. Use: saw blades, woodworking knives, cutting tools — a good compromise of [[glossary:haerte|hardness]], edge retention, and [[glossary:zaehigkeit|toughness]].
