1.2201 (X165CrV12) is a ledeburitic [[glossary:kaltarbeitsstahl|cold-work tool steel]] with 1.65 % [[element:C|carbon]], 12 % [[element:Cr|chromium]] and [[element:V|vanadium]]. The vanadium refines the [[glossary:karbid|carbides]] and improves edge retention. It's closely related to 1.2379 and 1.2601 (D2). Uses: stamping tools, cutting tools, deep-drawing tools with high wear loads.
